What questions do you have thus far about Slaughter House Five?

    My initial thoughts and questions about Slaughterhouse Five was what were the reasons for having it banned? Also what were the author’s influences for writing this book? If this was through a personal experience, is this book completely true to his experience, just lived through a fictional character.

    Thus far, I wonder whether Kurt Vonnegut's family actually did or did not support him in writing Slaughterhouse Five. This is a valid question because the author actually explains that not everything in the book is true. So far, I am enjoying the book and its complex simplicity. I am interested to learn more about the plunger people and Vonnegut's perception of time.

    Is Kurt Vonnegut a modernist or a postmodernist, or does he use both views in his writing? Does this book display why he might have tried to commit suicide?
